Between March and November, Troop 940 schedules a variety of exciting monthly campouts, adapting our activities to the season.
When the weather turns cold, we switch to cabin camping at Ed Bryant Scout Reservation. Our November outing is particularly special, as we host Arrow of Light Cub Scouts, helping them work on their requirements.
We stay busy with special events in the shoulder months. In April and September, we attend camporees at Ed Bryant Scout Reservation. These feature fun activities for Scout units from across the Glacier's Edge Council.
The warmer months are packed with adventures both on water and land:
Water-Based: We enjoy canoeing on the Wisconsin River or rafting on the Wolf River.
On the Trail: We hit the path to bike on the Sugar River or the Elroy-Sparta Trail.
State Parks and Forests: During other summer months, we camp at beautiful Wisconsin locations, such as Governor Dodge, Mirror Lake, Devils Lake, and Kettle Moraine.
Our biggest event of the summer is in July, when we head to Camp Tesomas near Rhinelander for a full week of summer camp.
